Dean Wareham & Co. doing Galaxie 500 killed it last night. Almost 20 years after they broke up, the songs seem just as present to them now. I'm not a big fan of the new Crocodile, but this was the perfect sized venue and atmosphere for the show. Bliss!
Set list:
"Flowers"
"Snowstorm"
"Pictures"
"Temperature's Rising"
"Decomposing Trees"
"Strange"
"Blue Thunder"
"Summertime"
"When Will You Come Home"
"Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste"
"Tugboat"
"Listen, the Snow Is Falling" (Yoko Ono)
"Fourth of July"
Encore
"I'll Keep it with Mine" (Bob Dylan)
"Ceremony" (Joy Division)
My temperature's rising, my fingers are tingling
They're starting to shake
I look in the mirror and everything's funny
I think you're a fake
And why did I do it, how could I say that
I wanna come down?
Everything's swirling and I just forgot
Why I came to this town
So now I think I'm all tied up
So now I think I'm tangled up
I know and I can't see no more
I know and I can't see no more
My temperature's rising, my fingers are tingling
They're starting to shake
I look in the mirror and everything's funny
I think I'm a fake
And why did I do it, how could I say that
I wanna come down?
Everything's swirling and I just forgot
Why I came to this town
So now I think I'm all tied up
So now I think I'm tangled up
I know and I can't see no more
I know and I can't see no more
Hannah is filling in for me tonight on KEXP, I am feeling pretty under the weather. I'll be back Thanksgiving week. xoxo
